Construction and function

6.1 Construction
The fresh air cooling system consists of the roof unit (3 1, page 3), the air
outlet unit (3 2, page 3), the water tank (accessory) and the controller.
The roof unit contains the heat exchanger (4 1, page 4), the fan (4 2 and
3, page 4) and filter (4 4, page 4) as well as the humidifier (4 5, page 4).
The air outlet unit (5, page 4) extracts warm air from the interior and con-
ducts cooled air into the vehicle interior.
The fresh air cooling system function is regulated on the control panel (2,
page 3).
Depending on what necessary accessories (CB-WT10 or CB-WT35) your
system is equipped with, water is pumped to the humidifier from the 10 l
buffer tank or the 35 l water tank. This is used to humidify the extracted inte-
rior air.
Water that is not absorbed by the heat exchanger, flows back to the tank via
the water drain. The evaporated water is led outside with the humidified inte-
rior air.
6.2 Function
A fan (4 3, page 4) on the discharge side extracts the warm air from the
vehicle interior. It flows first over a water humidifier (4 5, page 4) and is
cooled here according to the principle of evaporation. Subsequently, the
cooled, humidified air is fed into the heat exchanger (4 1, page 4) – the core
of the system – and then fed into the atmosphere via the system's exhaust.
At the same time, a fan (4 2, page 4) sucks in fresh air from the outside on
the intake side. This is cooled by the heat exchanger (4 1, page 4) and fed
into the interior of the vehicle. As the two air flows are kept separate in the
heat exchanger, no air humidity is exchanged.
The caravan or camper van remains as cool as desired but is not humid. The
moist air created by the evaporation cooling is extracted to the outside.
