Using the fresh air cooling system
6.3
Tip for improved usage
The principle of evaporation cooling depends on the relationship between the
air humidity and temperature as determined by natural forces and the cooling
capacity of the fresh air cooling system.
Dry air can absorb a large quantity of humidity and therefore has a corre-
spondingly large cooling capacity. At higher temperatures and lower air
humidity levels, the cooling capacity is greater than at lower temperatures
and higher levels of humidity.
During very wet weather, the air humidity is so high that only limited amounts
of additional moisture can be absorbed. In this case, to ensure optimum func-
tion of the fresh air cooling system, you should completely open the outlet
openings of the air outlet unit and set the blower to level 2. The air stream is
then most noticeable.

Using the fresh air cooling system
7.1
Preparation
Before you operate the fresh air cooling system, check if there is
sufficient water in the water tank and fill it with drinking water if
necessary.
If the system is equipped with the CB-WT10 accessory, the 10 l
buffer tank is automatically filled from the water tank of the cara-
van. If the CB-WT35 accessory is fitted, you need to fill this with
water yourself.
Too little water does not damage the system.
If there is not enough water the message "Too little water" appears
in the display and the "Fault" LED glows.
Do not insert any fingers or objects into the air nozzles.
Only on CB-1200-AC/DC: you should use a 230 V connection wherever pos-
sible for the power supply. If no 230 V supply is available, the energy is sup-
plied via the connectable inverter. Remember the limited capacity of the bat-
tery and the additional energy consumption.
Always switch the inverter off when you are not using the system.
The battery may completely discharge as the unit consumes a
small current in stand-by mode.
