Cleaning & Maintenance
1. Unplug the Electric Steamer and allow it to cool completely before performing
any cleaning or maintenance.
2. Never use abrasive cleaners or sharp objects for cleaning.
3. Clean the base with a soft, damp cloth.
4. Never immerse the base, plug or cord in water or any other liquid. Only the
steamer baskets and the rice bowl are dishwasher safe.
5. Always empty the water tank after each use, and fill up with clean water every
time you use it.
6. Dry the base and all the accessories with a kitchen cloth before storing.
7. Descaling: In order to maintain the efficiency of the Steamer, we recommend
you descale the appliance regularly. If the water is very hard in your area, it is
recommended to descale the appliance after every 8 to 10 uses. Fill the water
tank to the maximum level with water and vinegar in the same proportion.
Plug the appliance in and switch it on. For this procedure do not use any
steamer baskets. Set the timer for 20 to 25 minutes. Once the timer is up,
wait for the unit to cool down before emptying the vinegar. Rinse the water
tank several times with water.
CAUTION:
• Never immerse the lid, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
• If scrubbing is necessary, use a nylon or polyester mesh pad.
• Do not use a steel wool pad or abrasive material.
• Never use solvents or cleaning powder.
• Do not get any liquids inside the base.
Storage
Allow the appliance to cool completely before storing. Store the appliance in a
cool, dry place. Do not place any heavy items on top of appliance during storage
as this may damage the Electric Steamer.
Cover to protect from dust.
For a more compact storage, the three baskets nest one inside the other: place
the largest basket on the table, without the lid. Place first the mid-sized basket,
then the smallest basket inside. Place the lid, inverted, on top.
