Safety Instructions for each service life phase

2.1 Set-up and installation

The location where the machine is to be positioned must be suitable for the weight of the
machine and the tools. This location must be stable and secure for the machine. The
machine may only be operated by trained and competent personnel who know the
operating instructions and follow them. The safety instructions concerning the connection
and operation of foot switches in 9.1 are to be observed.

2.2 Safety Measures during Normal Operations

Only operate the machine if all the safety equipment is fully operational. Before switching
the device on, ensure that no one is endangered by the machine or the handling of the
tubes to be assembled. The machine should be carefully checked for visible damage and
the functionality of the safety equipment has been checked. The machine should not be
operated with the case open. The switch box must remain closed and may not be used as
a storage space.
Long or large tubes should be supported by trestles to ensure they can be safely
supported during the pre-assembly.

2.3 Maintenance and repair, troubleshooting (see Chapter 14)

The adjustment, maintenance and repair work as specified should be carried out
regularly.
After maintenance, and before switching on again, the safety equipment must be
checked to ensure it is functioning correctly.
