ELECTRICAL WATER PUMP
It is advisable to install a non-return valve between the delivery port and the flow control valve to
prevent dangerous water hammer in the event of the pump stopping suddenly.
This measure is mandatory if the delivery water column is longer than 20 metres.
The piping must always be mounted with the appropriate supports (Fig. C) to avoid transmission of
stresses to the pump body. Be careful not to damage any parts by over-tightening the pipes when
mounting them.
Fill the pump completely with clean water before switching it on. The water should be poured throu-
gh the priming plug (Fig. F). The pump should be re-primed whenever it has not been used for a long
period of time or when air has entered the system.

4. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

The installer is responsible for making the electrical connections to the mains power supply in ac-
cordance with the applicable regulations.
- Make sure that the specifications on the nameplate of the pump and the line ratings are the same
(Fig. D);
- Connect the pump to an effective earth circuit and then connect the phases according to the dia-
gram on the nameplate of the thermoblock;
- Check that the three-phase phase of the pump is clockwise when looking at the pump from the fan
side of the motor, swapping two of the phase connections if they are not (Fig.E).
5. MAINTENANCE
Our pumps do not require any maintenance provided the following precautions are taken: When
there is a risk of freezing, drain the pump through the drain plug located at the bottom of the pump
body. Be sure to prime the pump when restarting it: check that the foot valve is clean at regular inter-
vals: if the pump is to remain unused for a long period of time (e.g. in water){Fig. G), it is advisable
to empty it and rinse it thoroughly with clean water and store it in a dry place: if the shaft does not
rotate freely, free it with a screwdriver by inserting it into the special slot (Fig. H); if this is not enough
to solve the problem, remove the pump body, loosening the relevant mounting bolts, and clean it
thoroughly to remove any encrustation.
