Purpose
A new trim assembly has been released for SX-A and
DPS-A sterndrives. This new design is now used to
service earlier versions of these products.
The trim line mounting is different on the new assembly.
To use the new assembly on earlier products the trim
lines must be changed to the new design. All of the new
service kits contain the new trim lines.
There are two kits offered and covered by this
instruction, a Cover Kit and a Trim Pump Kit.
All information that follows refers to the diagram on
page 2. Diagram A is the existing, earlier trim system,
B is the new design trim system, included in the kits.
Complete trim system kits are also available. See
Workshop Manual 7746477 for installation instructions.

General
CAUTION! To prevent unintended movement
of the drive or TSK, disconnect
electrical power to trim system
before beginning work. Also tag all
helm stations that drive/TSK is
under repair.
NOTE:
The sterndrive must be removed from the
TSK to access the trim lines. See Workshop
Manual 7746477 for instructions.
NOTICE! The hydraulic portion of the system may fail
or perform poorly if contaminated with
debris. Keep the work area and the parts as
clean as possible while the hydraulic system
is open.
