6 – Standard Operation

6-3 Normal Mode Startup

1.
Confirm that the UPS system is properly grounded.
2.
Make sure the utility AC supply circuit breaker and the UPS system's input breaker are switched off.
3.
Wire the utility AC supply circuit and output circuit to the UPS system's terminal block and connect the external battery pack, following the
instructions in Section 5 – Wiring.
4.
Switch on the utility AC supply circuit breaker and the UPS system's input breaker. The green line LED (
indicate the utility-supplied AC line voltage of the AC supply circuit is nominal.
5.
If the UPS system is operating in a parallel redundancy configuration, the LCD screen will display
operating in a standalone configuration, the LCD screen will display

The UPS system is now in bypass mode and will automatically proceed to the UPS system self-test.

If there are no abnormal/fault/error messages, the pre-startup of the UPS system has been successful and the battery charger begins to
charge the external battery pack.

The UPS system will perform another self-test, and the LCD screen will change from

10. If the self-test is successful, the UPS system startup is complete. Allow the batteries to charge for 12 hours in order to ensure that connected
equipment will continue to operate without interruption during a power failure. Once the UPS system is in use, it will charge the batteries
and maintain the charge level automatically.
