7. Touch the blood drop to the front edge of the
yellow window of the test strip. Do not put blood
on top of the test strip. When you see
there is enough blood in the test strip.
NOTE
After a successful test, the meter turns off 5 seconds after the test strip is removed.
8. The test result appears on the display. Leave the
test strip in the meter to mark the test result as a
flash, pre-meal or post-meal test, or with a general
marker (see the next section, Marking Blood
Glucose Results and Setting the Post-Meal Test
Reminder). Otherwise, remove and discard the
used test strip.
