2. Place the blade (18) with the central
milling above the blade guide (26).
The notched end of the blade will
touch the sprocket (23).
Assembling the saw
chain
Pay attention to the correct rotation
direction of the saw chain. This is
indicated on the sprocket cover
(12) and above the sprocket (23).
Tension the saw chain in accor-
dance with the first 5-6 steps.
1. Turn the chain tensioner screw (25) in
an anticlockwise direction until the
chain tensioner pin (25a) has reached
its final position.
2. Place the saw chain (19) into the
blade groove. To assemble, hold the
blade (18) tilted upwards at an angle
of approx. 45 degrees in order to be
able to guide the saw chain (19) more
easily onto the sprocket (23).
3. Put the chain sprocket cover (12) back
in position:
The thread holds the blade-mounting
screw (13) in place.
The borehole (18a) in the blade (18)
holds the chain tensioner pen (25a) in
place.
4. Tighten the blade mounting screw
(13).
Tensioning the saw chain
It is important for your safety and device
functionality that the saw chain (19) is
tensioned. A properly tensioned saw chain
(19) increases the lifespan of your device.
Check chain tension prior to every
use of the device.
•
The saw chain (19) is properly tensi-
oned when it can be pulled around the
blade (18) by hand without sagging
(wear protective gloves).
•
When pulling on the saw chain (19)
with 10 N (approx. 1 kg) of force, the
saw chain and blade (18) should not
be separated by a distance of more
than 4 mm.
1. Hold the tip of the blade tightly. To ten-
sion the saw, turn the chain tensioner
screw (25) in a clockwise direction
using the Allen key (
To loosen the tensioning, twist the
chain tensioner screw using the Allen
key (
18) in an anti-clockwise di-
rection
2. Tighten the blade mounting screw
(13).
The chain tension in new saw
chains (19) must be readjusted af-
ter a short operating period.
Initial start-up
When working with the device,
wear suitable clothing, work
gloves, eye protection, protecti-
ve headgear, hearing protection
and cut-resistant work boots.
Prior to each use, ensure that
the device is working correctly.
The on/off switch and the safety
switch must not be locked. After
releasing the switch, you must
turn off the motor. Do not use
the device if a switch is dama-
ged.
Make sure that the mains volta-
ge matches the voltage rating
indicated on the device's type
plate. Risk of injury and damage
to property.
