This section describes the basic safety
rules when working with the device.

General safety instructions

Before working with the device,
familiarise yourself with all the con-
trols. Practise handling the device
and have the functionality, mode
of action and working techniques
explained to you by an experien-
ced user or an expert. Make sure
that you are able to switch off the
device immediately in case of an
emergency. Improper use of the
device can cause severe injury.

In the event of an accident or malfunction
during operation, switch off the device
immediately and pull out the mains plug.
Injuries must be properly treated or me-
dical assistance sought. Read the "Trou-
bleshooting" section to correct any mal-
functions or contact our Service Centre.

instructions refers to mains-operated
electric tools (with a mains cable) and to
battery-operated electric tools (without a
mains cable).
Occupational safety:
Keep your work area tidy and well
lit� Working in areas that are untidy or
without lighting can result in accidents.
Do not work with the power tool in
a potentially explosive atmosphere
where flammable liquids, gases or
dust are present.
Power tools generate sparks that can
ignite dust or vapours.
Keep children and other persons
away from the area while the power
tool is in use� Distractions can cause
you to lose control of the device.
