INSTALL THE DUCTWORK
(WPP9IQ and WPP9IQT)
NOTE: To reduce the risk of fi re, use only
metal ductwork.
1. Decide where the ductwork will run
between the hood and the outside.
2. A straight, short duct run will allow the hood
to perform most effi ciently.
It is recommended that there be a minimum
of 6" of straight duct from to an elbow for
8" duct and 12" for 10" duct.
3. Long duct runs, elbows, and transitions will
reduce the performance of the hood. Use
as few of them as possible.
4. Install a roof or wall cap. Connect 8"
WPPIQ (or 10" WPPIQT) round metal
ductwork to cap and work back towards
hood location. Use duct tape to seal the
joints between ductwork sections (Fig.6).
