Read through the instructions before you begin to work.
Check that all parts are included in the package.
Items in illustrations in the instructions may differ from
the model being worked on. The illustrations are used
for different instructions and may therefore vary between
engine models. The essential information is correct.
This kit contains:
Designation
Panel
Clips
Cable 2 m (6.6 ft)
Screws
Plastic plug
Ferrite beads
For installation:
Allen wrench size T 15
Screwdriver
Location
• Install the panel at the helm station.
• The underlying material must be flat and sufficiently
strong to withstand the weight of the panel and protect
it from heavy vibrations or shocks.
• Maximum thickness of the underlying material is
6 mm (0.24").
• Up to five panels can be installed per installation*.
Use different panel addresses.
Cable installation, general
• Keep cable runs as short as possible to reduce the
risk of a voltage drop and interference.
• Make sure that there is sufficient cable to allow the unit
to be removed for service.
• Do not run cables with sharp bends.
Connecting cables
Refer to Fig. 4 for terminal connections.

Installing
1. Cut out area: 175 x 115 mm (6.88" x 4.53")
Refer to Fig 2. (Not made to scale)
2. Slide the clips into the slots at the back of the panel.
Refer to Fig. 3 A.
3. Use an allen wrench to tighten the screws.
Torque 0.25 Nm (0.18 lbf ft)
Refer to Fig. 3 B-C.
4. Install the panel in the cut-out hole.
5. Install two ferrite beads (position 6) on the cable,
close to the cable connector.
Refer to Fig. 6 and Fig. 7.
*) Installing serial panels
Connect directly from one panel to the next.
To change jumper settings, remove the plastic plug by
hand. Refer to Fig. 5 position 6. Terminate the CAN bus
by keeping the jumper on the last unit (120 Ω resistor).
