4. Install the Expander Jambs
Locate the approximate center (from front to back) of the shower ledge. Measure 1/2" (1.3 cm) back
toward the outside (dry side) of the shower and mark with a pencil on each side.
Position the first expander jamb with the front edge on the mark. The flat surface of the expander
jamb faces out (away from the shower).
Level the expander jamb.
Temporarily secure the expander jamb into place using masking tape. Recheck positioning and
re-level.
Using a pencil, mark the four pre-drilled expander jamb holes on the shower wall.
Remove the expander jamb.
Drill 1/4" holes at the locations marked on the wall.
After drilling, thoroughly clean the shower ledge.
Insert wall anchors into the four drilled holes.
Fasten the expander jamb to the shower wall using #8-18 x 1-1/2" screws.
Repeat the procedures to install the second expander jamb on the opposite side of the shower.
