Buffer solutions are irritant chemicals. Avoid any contact with eyes and use a lab
coat to protect your wear.
In case of chemicals be in contact with skin, clean, quickly, with abundant water.
To prepare the buffer solutions just take a 300-400 ml fl ask, and solve the pounder
bag into 250ml of distilled water. Stirring until solved.
Keep these solutions in a closed fl ask. Do not use this buffer for calibration after 1
moth after preparation.
7.5 SAVE screen
Save the current result. The measuring data is stored:
•
Date and time.
•
Temperature.
•
Slope.
7.6 PRINT screen
Sends the reading or the stored data to the printer or to the computer via RS-232
serial communication.
Use printer 4120113 or other serial printer with the following confi guration:
•
9600 b.p.s.
Point over «Print current result» or «Print all» to print only the current measure or
all the stored measures.
To download data to the computer ask J.P. SELECTA,s.a. for the communication
software. It is available and free.
7.7 DEL screen
Deletes all stored data. Use «VIEW» See 7.3 to delete individual stored data.
After data or datas are deleted, there is no means to recover it.
8 Maintenance
Keep clean and dry the electrode socket. Use the short-circuited plug on the
socket instead of let it on the air.
8.1 Electrode handling
•
If the electrode comes with its own instruction sheet, follow it.
•
Keep the electrode with its end cap fi lled with KCl 3M when not used.
•
Take suitable cautions to avoid electrolyte KCl 3M be in contact with skin or
wear. Avoid any contact with eyes.
•
Avoid than the electrode left more than 1h without the end cap and becomes
dry on the air. It can lost its features if becomes dry. For a short period, left it im-
mersed on a glass of water.
•
Clean and rinse with abundant water after measure.
