4.1
Installing SystemSoft BEA-PC

On installing the BEA PC software, the "On-Board
Diagnosis" PC software is also installed on the
PC/Laptop.
1. Close all open applications.
2. Insert the "SystemSoft BEA-AU-OBD" DVD in the
DVD drive.
3. Start "Windows Explorer".
4. Start 'D:\RBSETUP.EXE' (D = DVD drive letter).
BEA set-up is started.
5. Confirm with <Continue>.
6. Heed and follow the instructions on the screen.
7. Re-start the PC/Laptop to successfully conclude
installation.
"
SystemSoft BEA-PC and the PC software "On-Board-
Diagnose" are now installed.
4.2
Connection KTS 515
1. Connect the KTS 515 to the power supply unit
included in the scope of delivery.
2. Connect the KTS 515 to a PC/Laptop via the USB
connecting cable.

The message "New hardware found" appears on the
screen for a few seconds the first time the KTS 515
is connected by way of the USB connecting cable.
This indicates recognition of the USB connection to
the KTS 515.

Module configuration (DDC)

The DDC (Diagnostic Device Configuration) software
is used for configuration, activation and the testing
of KTS modules.

If use is made of KTS 515 in the BEA PC software,
e.g BEA 550 or BEA 950, KTS 515 must be
configured in the DDC (Diagnostic Device Control).
If use if made of KTS 515 in BEA 750, KTS 515 must
be configured in the device configuration of the BEA
software under "Settings >> Device configuration".
The Bluetooth USB adapter is not used with
BEA 750.
1. Start DDC ("Start >> (All programs) >> Bosch >>
Diagnostic Device Control").
2. Add KTS 515 with "New".

Help. Pressing <Help> opens the Online Help. All
other important information on DDC can also be
found here.
3. After configuring the KTS 515, start the BEA-PC
software.
4. Open "Diagnosis" with <F5>.
5. Select "On-board diagnosis" and start it with <F12>.
