the door frames when installing the
awning over the balcony or patio
doors.
•
The approximate total drop range
of the awning is a result of the
respective type:
•
Drop height 30 cm
–
Make sure that you also consider
this drop height when determining
the installation location of the awn-
ing. The drop angle can still be
changed after installation. How-
ever, the ideal drop angle is
already set at the factory and may
only be changed minimally.
Note: The image (► p. 4,
fig. A) represents the drop
angle of the awning when fully
extended. (Total drop, height of
the front end [≥ 2.5 m], cross
section of the wall, wall upper
edge height hook height)
Note: The position of the
brackets (1) have already been
marked on the awning in the
factory.
–
Measure the width of the awning
with a folding ruler/ measuring tape
and write down the position of the
hooks.
–
Draw a horizontal line at the height
of the required position and to use
a long strip, a spirit level and chalk
for marking.

Hook position 4 × 2.5 m:
► p. 4, fig. B2

Mark the appropriate locations on
the wall by running the chalk
through the hole in the bottom of

the brackets (1). Use a 12 mm drill
to drill the corresponding holes for
the brackets (1) on the markings.
–
Make sure that the holes are 9 cm
deep and pass through solid brick
or concrete (► p. 4, fig. C). Do not
drill through mortar, since this does
not provide the necessary support.
Installation on wooden
houses and cabins
The awning can also be installed on
wooden houses, provided their walls
can support the weight of the awning. If
in doubt, read the instructions for the
wooden house or ask a specialist.
–
In this case, always make sure that
the brackets (1) are securely fas-
tened to the outside with solid
wood girders.
–
Buy carriage bolts with a sufficient
length and suitable diameter and
use these to fasten the awning.
Select the length of the carriage
bolts according to the hardness of
the wood girder.
Note: In any case, please note
that the brackets (1) and the
fasteners must correspond to
the surface, the awning type,
the awning size and the
selected wind class. If neces-
sary, contact the service centre
or a specialist.
