In the event of damage, repairs or
other problems with the awning,
contact the service centre or a spe-
cialist.
•
Make sure that the awning fabric is
always wound up properly. Other-
wise, damage to the awning fabric
may result. The crank gear mecha-
nism of the awning has no stop to
limit the rotation of the fabric roller.
Make sure that the cloth is pulled
tight. Keep an eye on all devices
that are operating if you are con-
trolling several devices at the same
time. Otherwise, you may loose
control of one of the devices which
could cause injury and/or damage.
•
The awning may only be installed
on a surface with sufficient load
bearing capacity.
•
Make sure your hands are clean
during the installation process.
Otherwise, the awning may
become soiled.
•
If possible, do not install the awn-
ing if there is frost and snow. Oth-
erwise, the awning may become
damaged.
•
Always retract the awning if it rains.
Preparation
Do not mount or use the awning in frost
or snow, otherwise the awning may be
damaged.
Safety instructions
•
Technical knowledge is required to
install the awning. Do not install
this awning yourself if you are:
130
•
uncertain whether the awning
can be mounted in the chosen
place.
•
do not understand the instruc-
tions or parts thereof.
•
do not have the necessary
tools.
•
do not have the required tech-
nical knowledge.
•
Never alter the design or configu-
ration of the system without con-
sulting the manufacturer or author-
ized representative, since this can
create a dangerous situation.
•
Do not install the awning if you find
damaged parts or parts are miss-
ing.
•
When extended, various forces,
including wind and rain, affect the
awning. These sometimes consid-
erable forces must be absorbed by
the awning and transferred to the
structure via the mounting brack-
ets. Excessive force can act on the
mounting anchors when the awn-
ing is under extreme load. There-
fore, prior to installation, check the
load-bearing capacity of the
mounting structure and, if neces-
sary, take the necessary measures
to ensure that the holders are prop-
erly secured. Contact a specialist
in your area if the mounting is not
secure.
•
The awning is only suitable for pro-
tection from the sun. It may not be
used in strong wind (wind speed:
>10.8 m/s), rain, hail or snow. If
such conditions prevail, roll-up the
awning immediately.
