applied to the upper end of the assembly located at
a height of 1,200 mm.
The blocfor™ bracket has a minimum breaking
GB
strength of 15 kN for the attachment of EN 1496
elevation rescue devices and to fit a fall arrest
anchorage device.
28. The minimum breaking strength of the supporting
structure of the caRol™ bracket, davimast and
base plate assembly is determined by applying a
minimum force of 16 kN applied vertically to the end
of the 300 mm arm of the caRol™ bracket.
29. The minimum breaking strength of the supporting
structure of the double anchor point bracket with
rotating anchors, davimast and base plate assembly
is determined by applying a minimum force of 16 kN
vertically and horizontally, applied to the top of the
assembly located at a height of 1,200 mm.
30. Before use, the supervisor and operator must read
and understand the information in the manuals for
the EN 1496 and EN 360 devices and permanent
davitrac and davimast base plates.
31. In the case of a rescue operation by abseiling, a
descender in accordance with EN 341 must be
used.
32. A full body harness is the only equipment around the
body that may be used in a fall arrest system. The
connector of the rescue device must be connected
to the attachment point provided for this purpose on
the harness. (See harness instructions.) The rescue
lifting device must be used vertically.
