Thread the headgear straps through the slots on the
adjustable arms and mask frame. The label of the Mirage
headgear should face outwards. Fasten the Velcro straps.

ARNINGS AUTIONS
• The mask should not be used unless the CPAP or bi-level
system is turned on and operating properly.
• The vent holes in the mask frame should never be blocked.
These holes allow a continuous flow of air out of the mask.
When the CPAP or bi-level system is turned on and functioning
properly, new air from the device flushes the exhaled air out
through the mask vents.
However, when the system is not operating, exhaled air may
be rebreathed. Rebreathing of exhaled air can, in some
circumstances, lead to suffocation.
• If supplemental oxygen is used, the inhaled oxygen
concentration will vary, depending on the pressure settings,
patient breathing pattern, mask selection, and the leak rate.
