NOTE: Periodic Level Shifting (PLS) will appear as flickering of the
light from the LED Light Attachment.
When not in Silent Mode, the unit will emit a short beep when the button is pressed. The beep indicates the
curing cycle has begun. A slightly longer beep will sound at the end of the curing cycle. During the 10 and
20  second cycles, a beep is sounded every 5 seconds as well as at the end of the cycle.
RECOMMENDED CURING TIMES
The Demi Ultra is a high-output curing unit with a typical power output ranging from 1100 to 1500 mW/cm².
Effective curing of materials depends on many factors, including the power output and wavelength of the light,
light position relative to the target, light maintenance and service condition, type of photoinitiator and curing
efficiency of material being cured. Below Kerr provides examples of certain materials and their curing time
requirements as well as measurements of light attenuation with increasing distance from target.
Kerr strongly recommends consulting curing recommendations for the specific material you are using, follow-
ing proper curing technique and regularly checking the light output with the integrated radiometer. Curing
times should be increased if the light is not directly over the target or producing the expected irradiance. The
Demi Ultra packaging also includes a hardness disk that can be used to check the curing characteristics of any
photo-activated material.

*All composite curing times refer to a single occlusal cure. In any posterior composite restoration, Kerr recommends additional 10 second buccal and/
or lingual cures to ensure adequate polymerization.

The electrical charge may be completely drained. Put the Curing Light
Body in the Charging Dock for 70 seconds.
Check to verify that the power cord is inserted into the Dock and into a
power receptacle.
Check the power supply and cord for damage. If there is damage
discontinue use of the power supply.
