ISINFECTION
a Using a certified hot water disinfection system,
soak the mask components for one of the
following times:
•
158°F for 100 minutes or
•
167°F for 30 minutes or
•
176°F for 10 minutes or
•
194°F for 1 minute.
b Perform a visual inspection of each mask
component. If any visible deterioration of a mask
component is apparent (eg cracking, tears etc),
the mask component should be discarded and
replaced. Yellow discoloration of the cushion
may occur. This discoloration is acceptable.
Testing has shown that the mask components can
withstand 15 cycles of disinfection using the above
time-temperature combinations.

a Sterilize the mask components as described in
the manufacturer's instructions for the
STERRAD 100S Sterilization System.
b Perform a visual inspection of each mask
Testing by ResMed has shown that the mask
components can withstand 15 cycles of the
STERRAD 100S Sterilization System.
WARNING:
components should not be subjected to autoclave, or
ethylene-oxide gas sterilization.

Reassemble the mask as described in the
"Reassembling the Mask" section.
