Description
The 8000 series consists of a group of primary modular elements
which enable the composition of entrance panels for interphones
and video door entry systems which utilise various technologies
and for various types of installation: flush-mounted with rainproof
cover or surface-wall mounted with rainproof cover.
The components are made of extruded aluminium with a special
weatherproof paint finish and copolymers with outstanding tech-
nical properties.
The 8000 series is compatible with analogue and digital Elvox
systems, Sound System, AC call, Due Fili and Digibus systems,
for versions with individual buttons or with a keypad and display.
These instructions refer only to entrance panel mounting; for
complete installation, wiring and programming directions please
consult the manual for the electronic unit.
The assembly and installation process for 8000 series
entrance panels with electronic units for Due Fili or Digibus
systems must include the following steps:
1 - Select the modules making up the entrance panel (see
"Standard modules" and "Additional modules" below).
2 - Select the module holder frames (art. 8092, 8082, 8093,
8083) in accordance with the modules to be added. Use
frames art. 8092 and 8093 to combine the standard modu-
le with the additional modules and frames art. 8082 and
8083 for additional modules only.
3 - Select the boxes and frames for flush-mounted or surface
wall-mounted installations.
4 - Install the entrance panel as described below.
Installation
Flush-mounted entrance panel installation with rainproof
covers
Installation of the flush-mounted entrance panels requires use
of the back boxes art. 9192 or 9193 respectively for 2 or 3 elec-
tronic modules mounted vertically (fig. 2).
If the panel uses more than one back box, the rainproof covers
must also be used (see accessories: series 92xx rainproof
covers, fig. 3), in accordance with the number of modules fitted
vertically and horizontally.
Important: During installation of flush-mounted back box art.
9192 or 9193, leave the cover cap (supplied) on in order to pre-
vent any deformation of the box itself.
Surface-wall mounted entrance panel installation
Installation of the surface wall-mounted panels requires use of
the boxes series 93xx, available in 2- to 12-module versions
(fig. 4). Use of the surface wall-mounted boxes requires combi-
nation with the 92xx series rainproof covers (fig. 3), in the same
dimensions as the boxes used.

Installation procedure:

4
- Install the flush-mounted or surface wall-mounted box with
the bottom edge at a height of approx. 1.65 m from the
ground (fig. 5). Use the relevant hole in the box to route the
wires.
If the flush-mounted installation requires a combination of
several boxes, use the hooks supplied with the boxes to
secure them together (fig. 6).
- Fix the electronic unit terminal block underneath the module
support frame using the screws supplied (fig. 7).
- Fix the rainproof cover and the module support frame to the
box using the screws supplied with the frames (fig. 9A, 9B).
- Connect the electronic unit terminal block to the system,
observing the wiring diagrams in the relevant manual in
accordance with the system type.
- Connect the electronic unit to the terminal block by means of
the wiring on the upper section of the unit (fig. 10A, 10B).
- If using an entrance panel with conventional buttons, con-
nect any additional modules (fig. 11); they should be con-
nected one after the other by means of the wiring supplied
with the modules, and finally connected to the standard
electronic unit by means of the wiring in its lower section.
Note: The connection of more than one additional module
may necessitate the use of an additional power supply unit
art. 6582 to power the LED lighting.
- Fit the electronic unit and any additional modules in the fra-
mes. Use the partition supplied with the additional modules
to keep them joined together (fig. 12).
- Fit the microphone in the lower right-hand section of the
frame (fig. 13).
- Configure and program the entrance panel parameters
(externally using a programmer or specific software).
- Fit the cover plates for the modules in the frames (fig. 14A,
14B).
- Close the entrance panel, attaching the cover plate first in
the upper section and then securing the lower section by
means of a screwdriver on the head section (fig. 15A, 15B).
- To remove the name card for modules with conventional but-
tons, use your fingers to press gently and remove the card
retainer on the rear of the button module (fig. 16).
- If additional modules with illuminated name card (art. 805N)
or street number (art. 80PN) are installed, the LED lighting
circuit (supplied with the modules) should be installed in the
module support frames and powered by means of connec-
tion to the electronic unit terminal block (as indicated in the
wiring variant descriptions). The card or street number can
be removed from the back of the module as shown in fig. 17.
