ProBLeM: Water leaking, wet air, and/or loose tips, indicates either:
a.) Center hole of Sani-Tip disposable tip is not fully seated over water spindle inside new adapter.
b.) Correct Sani-Tip Conversion Kit is not properly installed, and/or missing parts; thumb nut has
not been fully tightened, or incorrect tips are being used.
c.) Internal water spindle is damaged.
soLUtIon:
a.) Loosen thumb nut when interchanging Sani-Tip
and push into adapter as far as possible. While still pushing inward, twist tip 1/2 turn clockwise to
create a watertight seal over internal tapered water spindle. Tighten thumb nut.
b.) Make sure correct Sani-Tip
cone and all o-rings. Fully tighten thumb nut after inserting new tip. Verify tips are clear plastic
and manufactured by DENTSPLY Professional for the Sani-Tip
c.) If internal water spindle inside Sani-Tip
ProBLeM: Difficulty installing new adapter, water leaking, and/or loose tips.
soLUtIon: Check that all existing parts have been removed from syringe nozzle receptacle prior to
installing new adapter.
ProBLeM: Tip does not fit through thumb nut.
soLUtIon: Loosen thumb nut a full turn to expand opening of plastic cone.
ProBLeM: Little or no water.
soLUtIon: Check for clogged or damaged water spindle inside adapter, or blocked water outlet in
syringe head, or existing parts still inside nozzle receptacle.
ProBLeM: Too much/little air or water pressure.
soLUtIon: Minor adjustments to air and water pressure can be made at the dental unit. Follow
manufacturer's specifications.
ALWAYS TEST PRIOR TO USE:
Express water, then express air only. If air contains moisture, or tip dislodges, refer to first problem
and solution.
