5.3 Legal for Trade Operation and Sealing

Legal for Trade (LFT) operation is possible through a hardware Lock Switch located on the PC board. The Scale setup
parameters and calibration accuracy should be verified according to the local weights and measures standards prior to
sealing.
Procedure
Set the LOC CAL, LOC Setup, LOC Read settings to ON
per section 4.9.
Turn off the scale and disconnect the power. Remove
the weighing platform.
Turn the Scale over in the position as shown and re-
move the Lock Switch Cover Plate.
Refer to the illustration at the right and notice the po-
sition of the LFT switch. To lock out the menus, slide
the LFT switch to the position shown.
Replace the Lock Switch cover.
After the Scale has been tested and found to comply
with applicable regulations, apply the appropriate seal.
LEAD AND WIRE SEAL
See illustration at right. Place wire seal through the
holes in the security screws and ribs as shown and
compress the lead seal in place.
PAPER SEAL
If paper seals will be used, place them over both ac-
cess covers.
Turn the scale upright and replace the platform.
Reconnect power.
