15. Presettings

To obtain an optimal defrosting effect, some
presettings should be made to the heater or
heater/air conditioner control unit before the
ignition is switched off.
F 39 64 242 R
Only vehicles without air conditioning (IHR)
(integrated heating control):
Adjust regulator (1) for temperature on left and
right as shown to max. warm.
Turn regulator (2) for air distribution to the defrost
position as shown.
Adjust regulator (3) for air supply to "12 o'clock"
position.

Only vehicles with air conditioning (IHKA)
(automatic heating and air conditioning):
Activate button (1) for "air distribution upwards".
Adjust air supply in such a way that on the
display (2) 4 of the possible segments light up.
Adjust temperature preselection left and right to
max. (32 °C).
16. Operating the Telestart hand
transmitter

Switching on the park heating with the Telestart
hand transmitter:
Pull antenna of the Telestart hand transmitter out
fully
- Press On-button (1)
Equipment-on indicator:
- The switching-on check LED (3) blinks three
times and then goes over to a gleam for the
entire on-period
- Push antenna in again
The gleam of the switching-on check LED (3)
indicates only that the radio command has been
transmitted. It is not a sure sign that the park
heating is operating, since the LED is illuminated
even if the radio command has not reached the
Telestart receiver in the vehicle (e.g. if you are
outside the range of the Telestart receiver).
To avoid malfunctions, do not push in antenna of
the Telestart hand transmitter during the period of
the three blinks.
Switching off the park heating with the Telestart
hand transmitter:
Pull antenna of the Telestart hand transmitter out
fully
- Press Off-button (2)
The switching-on check LED (3) blinks three times
and then is extinguished.
Push in antenna again.

Switching on park heating:
manually: Activate button Immediate heating
automatically: by pre-programming start of
heating.
Operating display:
Heating operation indicator
display field are illuminated for the entire heating
period.
Switching off park heating:
manually: activate button Immediate heating
automatically: by reaching the limit of the pre-set
running period of the timer.
Heating operation indicator
display field illumination are extinguished.
If the park heating has been switched on using the
Telestart hand transmitter, the park heating can be
switched off by pressing twice the Immediate
button.

Press the button 'Time of day'
press buttons 'Forwards'
until the desired time appears.
Release button again.
