4. Installation
Plug equipment into the UPS

system's AC outlets.
The UPS system is designed to support
computer equipment only. The UPS system will
become overloaded if household appliances or
laser printers are connected to its outlets.
Turn the UPS system ON.

To turn on the UPS system, press the "ON/TEST"
button for approximately 1 second until the UPS
system beeps, then release the button.
The UPS system will begin providing filtered,
regulated AC power to its outlets. The "ON LINE"
LED will illuminate.
Note: UPS system will function properly upon initial
startup; however, maximum runtime for the unit's
battery will only be accessible after it has been charged
for 24 hours.
4.4 Optional Connections
The UPS system will function properly without these connections.*
* Note: PowerAlert software (available as a FREE download at www.tripplite.com) or the optional WEBCARDLX
internal accessory card is required to control some of the advanced features of the UPS system, including
economy mode, nominal AC voltage settings and frequency conversion settings. The factory defaults are suitable
for most applications.

Use the included USB cable (see
UPS system's communication port to a computer's communication port. Install PowerAlert
software on the computer. (See the PowerAlert software documentation for system
requirements and installation instructions.)
