MAINTENANCE
•
Excessive loosening of the chain may cause noise or knocking
resulting in chain pad and guide plate wear.
•
Check the chain clearance on a regular basis and adjust it, if
necessary.
•
To change the chain, take your vehicle to a Mondial official dealer
that will provide accurate and prompt service.
•
Incorrectly effected maintenance may cause early wear of the
chain and / or damage the pinion and / or the driven sprocket.
•
Perform maintenance operations more frequently if you ride the
vehicle in extreme conditions or on dusty and / or muddy roads.

Drive chain slack check

To check the drive chain slack:
•
Switch off ( ) the engine.
•
Rest the vehicle on its stand.
•
Engage neutral gear.
•
Check that at a point between pinion and driven sprocket on the lower
branch of the chain, the vertical oscillation is:
Drive chain slack:
25~30 mm (0.98~ 1.18 in)
•
Move the vehicle forward to check chain vertical oscillation, in other
positions too clearance should remain constant at all wheel rotation
phases.
