electrical parameters. To do this, remove the fl exible casing cover, remove all screws fi xing the two parts of the casing
and open the meter casing, replace the fuse. The parameters of the fuse are indicated on the fuse housing. When
replacing both fuses, it is recommended to replace the fuses one by one, so as not to change them with places.
S witching the meter on and off
Set the measurement switch to the OFF position to turn the meter off . The remaining switch positions activate the
meter and permit selection of the measured quantity and its range. The meter has a function of automatic switching
off in case of inactivity of the user; after about 15 minutes from the last user's reaction, the meter will switch off auto-
matically. This will reduce battery consumption.
SEL/V.F.C. button
Press the button to select measured quantity in the case of the settings of the main switch described using few
quantities. In the case of measurement of alternating voltage, press and hold the button for approx. 2 seconds; the
meter will switch into variable frequency voltage measurement mode - V.F.C. marker. If the main switch is in the OFF
position, press and hold the SEL/V.F.C. button and then change the position of the main switch to disable the meter
auto switch off function.
RANGE button
The button is used to manually change the measuring range for a measured quantity. By default, the meter switches
on with automatic selection of the measurement range - "Auto" marker on the display. Press the RANGE button to
switch to the manual selection mode of the measurement range - "Manual" marker. Subsequent presses of the button
change the measuring range to a higher one up to the highest range. Press the button again to return to the lowest
measuring range. Press and hold the RANGE button for approx. 2 seconds to return to the automatic selection of
the measurement range.
Hz button
If the meter is set to alternating voltage or variable frequency voltage measurement mode, press the Hz button to
display the frequency of the measured voltage. Press the button again to return to the voltage measurement. Press
and hold the Hz button for approx. 2 seconds to turn on the small fl ashlight located on the front of the meter. Press
and hold the button for approx. 2 seconds to turn off the fl ashlight.
HOLD/* button
The button is used to retain the measured value on the display. When pressed, the button will keep the currently
displayed value on the display, even after the measurement is over. Press the button again to go back to the meas-
urement mode. The operation of the function is indicated on the meter display with the HOLD sign. Press and hold the
button for approx. 2 seconds to backlight the meter display. Press and hold the button again for approx. 2 seconds to
turn off the display backlight. The display backlight turns off automatically after approx. 1 minute.
Connecting test leads
If the test lead plugs are capped, the caps must be removed before plugging the test leads into the jacks. Connect
the test leads in accordance with the instructions in the manual. Next, remove the caps (if any) of the measuring parts
and proceed with the measurements.

MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE

Depending on the current position of the range switch, the display shows four digits. If the battery needs to be
replaced, the multimeter indicates this by showing the battery symbol on the display. If the sign "–" appears on the
display before the measured value, it means that it has a reversed polarity relative to the meter's connection. If an
overload symbol appears on the display, it means that the measuring range has been exceeded and the measuring
range must be changed to a higher one.
If the scale of the measured value is not known, set the highest measuring range and reduce it after reading the meas-
ured value. The measurement of small quantities with a high measuring range involves the greatest measurement er-
ror. Special care should be taken when measuring quantities within the highest voltage range to avoid electric shock.
