IDEAL™ Suture Shuttle
Description
The IDEAL Suture Shuttle is an orthopedic manual
surgical instrument designed to use a 3/0 nitinol shuttle
to pass suture through tissue in either arthroscopic or
open surgery. The Suture Shuttle is pre-loaded with a 3/0
nitinol shuttle.

INDICATIONS FOR USE

The DePuy Mitek IDEAL Suture Shuttle is indicated for
passing a 3/0 nitinol suture shuttle through tissue in
arthroscopic or open surgery.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not use the IDEAL Suture Shuttle on bone or other
similarly hard tissue.
WARNINGS
Whether used arthroscopically or in open surgery
the IDEAL Suture Shuttle must be used under direct
visualization.
The IDEAL Suture Shuttle is provided sterile, for single
use only. Do not re-sterilize. Discard any open, unused
product. Do not use after the expiration date.
PRECAUTIONS
• This device should be used only by physicians with a
thorough understanding of orthopedic procedures and
arthroscopic techniques.
• The IDEAL Suture Shuttle is for SINGLE USE ONLY.
DO NOT RE-STERILIZE OR REUSE. Reuse of the
needle may cause needle damage, which could
cause patient injury.
• Inspect the product and sterile packaging (as
applicable) prior to use for damage. Do not use if
product is damaged or sterile barrier is compromised.
