SAFETY INFORMATION
•
Keep the work area clean and brightly lit.
•
Do not operate the device when under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If you have to take
prescribed medical products, read the warning instructions to determine if your judgement or reflexes
are impaired by taking the medical products. If there is doubt, the measuring device may not be
operated.
•
For your safety, service and maintenance should be carried out by a qualified technician at regular
intervals.
•
The warnings, precautionary measures and instructions mentioned in these operating instructions
cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. The user must know that common
sense and caution are factors that cannot be installed in this product and must come from
themselves.
•
The pressure equipment is suitable exclusively for refrigerant R-134a.
•
Do not start the engine in a closed environment (e.g. garage). A running petrol engine generates
carbon monoxide; carbon monoxide is a colourless, odourless gas that may cause severe injuries
and death if it is inhaled.
•
Keep your hands away from moving and hot parts of the vehicle engine.
•
Read and understand all instructions and safety precautions for the air conditioning system as
described in the operating instructions of the vehicle manufacturer. Only qualified mechanics that are
familiar with the maintenance of air conditioning systems may work with this product.
•
When pre-heating an engine as preparation for testing the air conditioning system, with automatic
transmissions, take care that lever is shifted to "P" and that the handbrake is applied.
•
The refrigerant can cause severe frostbite if it makes contact with skin. Observe the safety
instructions and instructions of the refrigerant manufacturer.
•
Do not disconnect any pressure hoses. The refrigerant under pressure may cause severe injuries.
•
Caution when opening the air conditioning system. When checking, always use a clean cloth to place
around the service valves of the air conditioning system and the coupling valves (red / blue).
•
Keep the refrigerant away from excessive heat as an increase in pressure in the vessel may be
sufficient to rupture the vessel.
•
Do not release the refrigerant to the atmosphere. Drain the refrigerant into an approved recovery
vessel (not included) and dispose of in a correct manner. Please contact your local authority that is
responsible for special waste.
•
Use refrigerant only in accordance with the repair instruction of the air conditioning system.
