Measurement of current AC A (to ~) and DC A (A ---)
Warning
Never attempt to measure current in a circuit when open between the circuit and ground
voltage is higher than 600V. If the fuse blows during the measurement, the meter may be
damaged or the operator can result in injury. Properly use terminals, functions and ranges
for measurement. When probes these connected to the current terminals do not parallel to
any circuit.
The current measurement has 3 positions on the rotary switch: μA / mA / A.
For measuring current is as follows:
1. Turn off the circuit. Discharge all high-voltage capacitors
2. Insert the red probe inside the μAmA or A terminal and the black inside the COM terminal.
3. Set the rotary switch to μA, mA , or A.
4. The meter will enter the DC (---) measurement mode. Press the SELECT button to switch to
AC (~). The expanded value of AC (~) is the effective value of the wave sine (main response
value).
5. Cut the trajectory of the current to be measured. Connect the Red test lead to the positive
side of the trajectory and the black probe to the negative side.
6. Connect the power to the circuit
7. The value of the measurement is displayed on the screen.
-For safety each measuring time for high current must be at least 10 seconds and
the time interval between 2 measurements should be up to 15 minutes.
-When the current measurement has been completed, disconnect the connection
between the test leads and the circuit under test and remove the probes of the meter
input.
