MEASUREMENT RANGES
A measurement range determines the highest value that the meter can measure. Most of the
functions of the meter have more than one range.
A. Range selection
-If the range is too low for the input, the meter will display 0L to indicate an overload.
-If the range is too high, the meter does not appear more accurate measurement.
B. Range manual and auto
The meter has both options range manual and Auto:
-In auto mode, the meter selects the best range for the input signal.
This allows test points to be changed without having to reset the measurement.
-At the manual range mode, you must select the range.
This allows you to override the autorange and lock the meter in a specific range.
The meter assumes by default the autoranging measurement mode. When is the meter is in
the autorange, AUTO mode displayed.
To enter and exit the manual range mode:
1. RANGE
The meter enters the manual range mode and AUTO mode switches off.
Everytime you push RANGE increase range. When the high range is rejected, the meter will
return to the range lower.
2. To exit the manual range mode, press and hold RANGE for two seconds.
The meter will return to auto mode and AUTO will be displayed on the screen.
