Operation

Refer to setup sheet for detailed,
illustrated instructions.
1 . Remove any old caulk . Make sure
the surface to be caulked is clean
and dry .
2 . Read directions, warnings and
drying instructions on the tube .
3 . Use a razor knife to cut off the tip
of the cartridge at a 45° angle .

Troubleshooting Chart

Symptom
No caulk comes out tube
Caulk comes out too slow
Air leaking out bottom of
handle
4 . Puncture the inner seal of the
cartridge with a long pin or nail .
5 . Insert the cartridge of caulk,
sealant or adhesive into the caulk
gun .
6 . Connect the air hose to the air
compressor and to the air inlet on
the caulk gun .
7 . Plug compressor into an electrical
outlet . Turn the compressor on .
8 . Set air pressure to the tool at 10 psi
to 15 psi . Adjust pressure for speed
and skill level .
9 . Test caulk bead by pulling trigger
and running a bead on a piece of
cardboard . Adjust the air pressure,
size of tube end and speed as
needed . DO nOT eXCeeD 40 PSI.
10 . Release the trigger and disconnect
air supply when changing
cartridges or when finished with
the tool .
Possible Cause(s)
1 . Caulk dried in tube nozzle
2 . Air pressure too low
3 . Air leaking around tube
1 . Air pressure too low
2 . Air leaking around tube
3 . Caulk too thick (old)
1 . Pressure too high
heLPFUL hInTS:
• Start at a corner or joint on work
surface .
• Use a long, continuous uniform
bead . Avoid a series of short
beads because they tend to seal
improperly .
• Hold the caulk gun at a position
that forces the material into the
joints and crevices .
• Smooth out the caulk bead with a
smoothing tool or with your finger .
• Do not use a cartridge of dried
material .
• Make sure to let caulk dry properly.

Storage

The tool should be stored in a cool, dry
place .
Corrective Action
1a . Use a pin or nail to clear blockage in tube
nozzle
1b . Cut tube nozzle back further to open up
hole
2 . Increase air pressure by adjusting tank
regulator (Do not exceed 40 psi)
3 . Caulk tube damaged in bottom of tube
causing air to leak past seal created by
diaphragm . Replace tube .
1 . Increase air pressure by adjusting tank
regulator (Do not exceed 40 psi)
2 . Caulk tube damaged in bottom of tube
causing air to leak past seal created by
diaphragm . Replace tube .
3 . Replace caulk with new catridge
1 . The tool is designed to bleed air at the
bottom of the handle if the pressure is too
high . This is a safety feature .
