OVERVIEW
The GEMK fire-fighting booster sets with diesel pumps are designed to transfer and boost water pressure in
fixed fire-fighting installations and automatic sprinkler systems, in compliance with the EN12845 fire-fighting standards in force.

Inform the manufacturer of any other environmental conditions that could require the use of special
ATTENTION
measures or more frequent maintenance operations, in particular:
- High ambient temperature.
- Installation at an altitude above 1000 metres.
- Dusty and/or sandy environments.
- Marine environments.
- Environments where there is a possibility of chemical pollution.
- Environments where there is radiation and/or powerful magnetic fields.
- Operating conditions involving extreme stresses or vibrations (the control panel must not be used in
these conditions).
Dusty environments with the presence of sand, or damp environments such as at the seaside,
may cause premature deterioration, compromising regular operation.
The machine is provided with the power rating required by the customer and with tolerance ranges within the legal limits.
Limitations to fluid temperature and pressure may be imposed by the membrane tank. Observe the
ATTENTION
operating limits!
Checking the material
Upon delivery of the modular booster set, check that the material received corresponds to what is indicated on the transport
documents accompanying it.
Treat the Instruction Manual with care and keep it together with the Machine whenever this changes hands.
The manual must be handled carefully with clean hands, and without putting it down on dirty surfaces. Do
not remove, rip or make arbitrary changes to any of its sections. Keep the manual in an area protected
against heat and humidity and neat the machine to which it refers.
ATTENTION
0°C to +40 °C
+10°C to +40 °C
+4°C to +40 °C
Max 8 bar, 10 bar, 16 bar depending on the type of pump (see handbook).
According to NPSH curve and flow resistance; level should be raised by a safety margin
of at least 0.5 metres if water contains air.
The inlet pressure plus the pressure supplied by the pump against the closed valve must
always be lower than the maximum operating pressure.
1000 m a.s.l.
30% to 80% non-condensing relative humidity
The powers of the Diesel engines for stationary applications are in compliance with ISO
standard 3046/1.
