Route on-board wiring harness A, as illustrated in Fig. A along the audio or main wiring harness and secure with
cable straps.

Start installing on-board monitor wiring harness A at ground terminal point X13016 in area or
rear left C-pillar.

Firmly secure branch A10 at ground terminal point X13016 in area of rear left C-pillar.
Route branch A4 to place of installation of left-hand TV amplifier at left-hand C-pillar and tie back (connected only in
conjunction with video module installation kit).
Route branches A11 and A12 to antenna amplifier at left-hand C-pillar.
Route branch A5 to place of installation of right-hand TV amplifier at right-hand C-pillar and tie back (connected only
in conjunction with video module installation kit).
Route branches A6 to A9 through leadthrough grommet from rear window shelf (see Fig. B) into luggage
compartment to place of installation of on-board monitor radio in rear left side section and secure with cable
straps (32).
Tie back branches A6 and A7 (only connected in conjunction with video module and TV amplifier installation kits).
Route branches A13 to A16 through leadthrough grommet behind rear seat backrest along main cable loom into
luggage compartment and secure with cable straps (32).
Route branches A13 to A14 to place of installation of on-board monitor radio in rear left side section.
Route branch A15 to place of installation of video module mounting bracket at front in rear left side section and
secure with retaining clip (7) (see Fig. I).
Route branch A16 to place of installation of navigation computer in rear left side section.
Route branches A1 to A3 along standard audio wiring harness to place of installation of on-board monitor in
instrument panel and secure with cable straps (32).

On-board monitor wiring harness A crosses over behind the left-hand front seat and from here it is routed
along the transmission tunnel behind the centre console to the place of installation of the on-board monitor.

Firmly secure branch A10 with 6 mm dia. cable eye from on-board monitor wiring harness A to ground terminal
point X13016 at rear left C-pillar.
Tie back branch A4, coaxial pin housing, from on-board monitor wiring harness A with cable strap (connected only
in conjunction with video module installation kit).
Unscrew existing coaxial pin housing (40) from antenna amplifier (41) and tie back (no longer required).
Screw branch A12, coaxial pin housing from on-board monitor wiring harness A, onto released coaxial socket
housing (42) of antenna amplifier (41).
Disconnect existing coaxial socket housing (43) from antenna amplifier (41) and tie back (no longer required).
Connect branch A11, coaxial socket housing from on-board monitor wiring harness A, to released coaxial pin
housing (44) of antenna amplifier (41).
Route branch A5, coaxial pin housing from on-board monitor wiring harness A, on rear window shelf along rear
window to place of installation of right-hand TV amplifier at right-hand C-pillar and tie back with cable straps (32)
(connected only in junction with video module installation kit).
Route branches A6-A9 through leadthrough grommet in rear window shelf into luggage compartment to place of
installation of on-board monitor radio in rear left side section.

The new function unit carrier for on-board monitor (11) must be equipped as described in TIS before carrying
out the jobs described in Fig. C.
Connect branch A3, black 17-pin pin housing, from on-board monitor wiring harness A to existing black 17-pin
socket housing X18126.
Adhere one anti-rattle pad (36) to the second anti-rattle pad (36) and then adhere onto the wiring harness such that
it encloses existing, angled coaxial socket housing (45), black coaxial socket housing (46) (antenna connection),
plug connector from receiver stage (47), as well as plug connection A3 + X18126.The enclosed connections
(45, 46, 47) as well as the enclosed plug connection A3 + X18126 are no longer required and should be placed
behind the heater operating panel.
Screw on-board monitor retaining dowel (10) onto on-board monitor (9).
Connect branch A1, blue 12-pin socket housing from on-board monitor wiring harness A, to blue 12-pin
pin housing (48) at on-board monitor (9).
