2.6 Installation of Navigation System

Navigation wiring harness B
Route branch B1 to free branch A15 from on-board monitor wiring harness A at mounting bracket for video
module, front.
Route branch B2 to free branch C1/D1 from auxiliary wiring harness for navigation C/D at mounting bracket for video
module, front.
Branch B3 is tied back on navigation wiring harness B.
Branch B4 is already connected at GPS receiver.
Route branches B5 and B6 to place of installation of navigation computer.
Antenna extension for GPS antenna E
Route branch E1 to place of installation of GPS antenna under rear window shelf.
Branch E2 is already connected at GPS receiver.

Place mounting bracket for GPS antenna (8) on GPS antenna (6) and secure with expanding rivets (30).

Remove pre-punched section (70) under rear window shelf.

Check that existing mounting points (69) are 8 mm in diameter. If necessary, drill out mounting points to
8 mm dia.

Fit securing grommets (29) in mounting points (69).

Fit mounting bracket for GPS antenna together with the mounted GPS antenna in retaining grommets (29).
Connect branch E1, coaxial pin housing of antenna extension for GPS antenna E to antenna cable (71)
of GPS antenna (6).
Secure antenna extension for GPS antenna E with cable straps (32).

Fit M5 speed nut (24) on mounting bracket for video module, front (17).
Fit mounting bracket for navigation computer (21) in position, firmly secure with M5 hexagon nut and washer (22) to
threaded stud (72) on reinforcement of water channel and with two M5x12 hexagon screws and washers (23) on
mounting bracket for DSP amplifier and GPS receiver (15) as well as on mounting bracket for video module, front (17).

If the vehicle is equipped with a fixed telephone or mobile phone, use the M5 hexagon nut and washer
from the telephone mounting bracket.
