2.3 Installation of On-Board Monitor and On-Board Monitor Radio

The finisher for the on-board monitor is dependent on the equipment variant and must be ordered separately in
accordance with the electronic parts catalogue (EPC).
The control line for the on-board monitor radio/CD changer is not included in the installation kit and must be
ordered separately in accordance with the electronic parts catalogue (EPC) for vehicles with CD changer and
without DSP amplifier.
The trim panel at the rear left of the luggage compartment in front of the navigation computer is not included in the
installation kit and must be ordered separately in accordance with the electronic parts catalogue (EPC)
corresponding to the equipment status of the vehicle.

Preparation
Print out fault code memory
Disconnect battery
Remove trim finisher on centre left of instrument panel
Remove trim finisher on centre right of instrument panel
Remove radio (no longer required)
Remove receiver stage (no longer required)
Release bottom section of trim panel for instrument panel (according to TIS)
Remove radio function unit carrier, replaced by on-board monitor function unit carrier (assembly described in TIS)
Remove front left centre console trim panel
Release centre console at bottom front left
Remove left-hand front seat
Remove rear bench seat
Remove rear seat backrest
Remove front left and rear left sills (rocker panels)
Remove bottom section of left-hand B-pillar trim panel
Fold back carpet on left
Remove left and right C-pillar trim panel
Remove rear window shelf
Remove left-hand speaker under rear window shelf
Remove luggage compartment floor
Remove trim panel at rear left of luggage compartment (replaced by new trim panel)
Remove trim panel on left in luggage compartment
Remove trim panel at rear right of luggage compartment
Remove trim panel at closing panel
Remove front right and rear right sills (rocker panels)
Remove bottom section of right-hand B-pillar trim panel
Remove A-pillar trim panel at bottom right
Remove glovebox
Remove footwell trim panel in front of glovebox
On RHD vehicles, additionally remove footwell trim panel under steering column
Fold back carpet on right
Remove CD changer (if fitted)
Remove mounting bracket for CD changer (if fitted)
Remove mounting bracket for video module (if fitted)
Remove DSP amplifier (if fitted)
Remove mounting bracket for DSP amplifier (if fitted)
