Initial start-up

Before starting up for the first time

1.
Remove packaging .
2.
Remove the cover plate on the front of the
trolley (four screws) .
3.
Remove the packaging material around the
internal coolant cylinder .
4.
Check shut off valves (Fig . 4; item 2) on
the internal coolant cylinder and shut off
taps (Fig . 4; item 1) on the hose lines to
ensure that they are open . Shut off valves
are opened by turning them anticlockwise .
Taps are open if they are positioned paral-
lel to the flow direction of the hose line .

Check oil level in vacuum pump sight glass .
The sight glass must be filled at least half-
way with oil (Fig . 5; item 1) .

Replace cover plate and screw down .

Filling the internal coolant cylinder

Before the ACS 400/450 can be used, the
internal coolant cylinder must be filled with
liquid coolant (see section 7 .1 "Preparations
for start-up and topping up") . The coolant
R134a UN 3159 must be obtained from the
local gas supplier .
