Playing Surround Sound
DOLBY PRO LOGIC Surround

Press the surround off/on button.
Surround indicator will light up.

Select the ä Pro Logic
mode by pressing surround mode
button.

Press the center mode button to select
the center speaker mode you desire,
NORMAL , WIDE or PHANTOM mode.

Press the test tone button to send the
test tone signal to each speaker in
succession as shown below.
... When the center mode is NORMAL or
WIDE BAND:
TFront Left T Center T Front Right
Rear (surround)^
... When the center mode is PHANTOM:
TFront Left T Front Right

Set up the desired rear level/center
level/delay time by using rear/ center/
delay time button and level (up/down)
control.

–20 dB;+10 dB
... Delay Time Setting
T15ms T 20ms T 25ms T 30ms
20msec is standard.

Press the test tone button to cease
testing.

Play the video (or CD) software with the
DOLBY SURROUND mark.

Adjust the master volume control for the
most appropriate overall volume.
