The weighing system (without printer) meets up to the protection class IP65. This means that dust or
moisture (rain or water beam from all sides), will not influence the operation of the electronics. However,
high-pressure cleansing in combination with warm water or chemical cleansers will lead to the entry of
moisture and therefore negatively influence the operation of the system.
The bearings of the wheels (non-polyurethane) and the pivoting points of the leveling bar of the loading
wheels must be cleansed and greased regularly.
Cleaning Instructions
Remove dirt and deposits at regular intervals from the outside and inside of the scale.
The procedure depends both on the type of surface and on the environmental conditions prevailing at the
installation location.

6.4 Battery Operation

Check the battery before operation. Recharge the battery according to [Battery Charging Page 13] when the
battery level is low.
Please refer to the weighing terminal manual for further explanation on battery level indication.
This unit is delivered with one of the following battery configurations.
226x Ex-proof Battery
256x Ex-proof Battery
The voltage level of the battery is shown in the weighing terminal. When the battery indication only shows one
bar, the battery should be charged. When the battery is completely empty, the weighing system switches off.

6.4.1 Battery Life

Refer to [Specifications Page 4] for battery life of the unit.

6.4.2 Battery Charging

In order to maximum the lifetime of the battery, follow the charging instructions below precisely. Follow the
charging hours as stated in [Specifications Page 4].
The Ex battery needs to be uninstalled from the battery
case in order to be charged. WARNING Uninstalling,
charging, and reinstalling after charging of the Ex
battery must be performed in safe areas.
