Limitations of use

Observe the following limit values for installation
and operation of the system components:
Permissible ambient temperature
Installation in an electrical distribution box in a pref-
erable unscreened environment.
Installation of eSCHELL water management server
The eSCHELL water management server may only be
installed in dry interior rooms. It is solidly installed
in a distribution box on a 35 mm top-hat rail (acc.
to DIN EN 60715).
– Pay attention to good reception of the wireless
subscribers of the water management system
when choosing the installation location.
– Observe the maximum cable lengths when using
Bus extender cables.
Installation of the eSCHELL power supply
The Bus power supply unit 30 V may only be
installed in dry interior rooms. It is solidly installed
in a distribution box on a 35 mm top-hat rail
(acc. to DIN EN 60715).
It is recommended to install the power supply and
the server in the same distribution box.

When installing the water management server and
the power supply, the eSCHELL electrical distribu-
tion box (# 00 506 00 99) can be used as an op-
tion. With the insulation class IP65 it provides the
required protection against contact.

subscribers of the water management system
when choosing the installation location.
– Observe the maximum cable lengths when using
Bus extender cables.
– Use only the appropriate ISO terminal screw
connections for the connecting cables or the
enclosed cable bushings.
Notes on installation in the distribution box
– The bus lines must be routed with sheath up to
the terminals.
– Avoid contact of current and bus line wires, e.g.
through appropriate line routing of fastening.
– Metal distribution boxes reduce the range
of wireless signals (e.g. WLAN or eSCHELL
wireless).
