Possible cause
Do a calibration and analyze the samples again.
If the air spikes occur with every peak in the same location, look
at the time for the sample to get to the valve and the load time.
• Prepare reagents a day in advance and keep the reagents at
room temperature.
• Degas all reagents with helium (unless otherwise noted).
• Use a longer backpressure loop. Increase in 50 cm
increments.
• See if the air is pulled in the reagent flow intermittently.
• Make sure that there is sufficient reagent volumes.
• Under the "Configuration" tab in the software, select
"Autosampler". Select "Initialize Autosampler".
• Make sure that the power to the sampler is on.
• Make sure that sampler cable is not loose.
• Make sure that the latest software is installed.
Select Ignore when asked. Close Windows
application again.
• Make sure that the check standards are made and added
correctly.
• Make sure that the peaks are integrated correctly.
• Make sure that the reagent preparation and placement are
correct.
• Make sure that the time to the valve is correct.
• Make sure that the sampler arm moves freely.
• Under the "Configuration" tab in the software, select
"Autosampler". Select "Initialize Autosampler".
• Look for loose or unplugged sampler cable.
• Make sure that the heater temperature has been set for that
channel in Run Properties>Analytes. Make sure that the set
point shows correctly in the Omnion channel data display.
• Connect the thermocouple
