5.2 Tire changing with a common lever
Before operation, make sure that all the original lead weights are removed and check the deflation of the tire.
Make sure that no one is behind the tire changer when the column tilts back.
5.2.1 Depress the foot pedal (Fig. 5-1 H) to tilt the column.
Do not put your hands under the tire while locking the rim. The correct fixture may position the tire in the exact
center of the large plate
External clamping
Based on the position of the clamping jaw on the large plate (Fig. 2-1
F), place the tire and depress the foot pedal (Fig. 5-1 I) to the middle
position.
Place the tire on the clamping jaw and press the rim. Depress the foot
pedal (Fig. 5-1 I) to the furthest position.

Depress the foot pedal (Fig. 5-1 J) and move the
tire-pressing shovel. When the tire-pressing shovel
reaches the end of its stroke or breaks the tire edge,
release the foot pedal and gently rotate the tire until
it is completely disengaged from the rim.

Depress the foot pedal of the clamping jaw to open
the clamping jaw until it is larger than the rim by
1–2".
Press the center of the rim with the tire-pressing
block (Fig. 5-3), then depress the foot pedal of the
clamping jaw to fit the tire on the chuck.

Internal clamping
Based on the position of the clamping jaw (Fig.2-1 E),
position the tire to make it close completely.
Place the tire on the clamping jaw and press the rim.
Depress the foot pedal (Fig. 5-1 I) to open the clamping
jaw and clamp the rim.
