Note: Care should be taken when working on an open computer. A paperclip inside the housing can short the moth-
erboard when the computer is turned on and cause data loss or damage the hardware. Whenever you change the
hardware, first backup your data on a different medium such as an external hard disk or another data carrier.

install hard disks in the notebook.
c) Connect the frame/adapter and the removed components to your SATA-Storage 2.5".

a) Remove your computer's housing by removing the screws connecting the housing to the computer
frame, or unlock the locking mechanism. Remove the housing (see Fig. 1).
Note: Before you remove the housing, make sure and pull the power plug for your computer and pull the plugs
of all the connected peripherals. It is not enough to turn off the computer since individual components may
still be powered which can cause a shock.

Note: Insert the hard disk with the electronics facing downward (see Fig. 2).
c) Use the provided data cable to connect your hard disk with the mainboard. Connect the data cable
to the SATA connection on your hard disk and a free SATA connection on the mainboard. Connect the
power connection of the hard disk to the computer power supply.
