d) Mount the computer housing by fastening it with the screws or locking mechanism (see Fig. 4).

Note regarding logging on in BIOS: Generally the BIOS is preconfigured so that newly integrated hard disks are
automatically recognized. If your SATA-Storage is not automatically recognized by the BIOS, consult the manual
for the mainboard or your notebook.
Be very careful making changes to the BIOS since any change might prevent your computer from starting. If you
have any questions or are unsure, consult the manual for the mainboard or your notebook.
2) Setting up the hard disk
a) Windows® 2000/XP/Vista
Initializing the data carrier
A new data carrier like your SATA-Storage will be listed as a non-initialized data carrier and therefore has to
be initialized before it is used. Proceed as follows:
a) Right-click on "m

c) Your SATA-Storage is listed in the bottom area, that is, the graphic list of the connected CD/DVD drives
and hard disks.
Note: Make sure not to select any of the other connected hard disks. If you do, the data on the disk will be
irretrievably deleted!
