Important: Read this leaflet carefully before you use the teether and save it for future
reference.To help us identify your teether if you need to contact us, please keep this
packaging or make a note of the imprinted number (located
on the back of the transparent casing) and write it here:
Warning: Never attach ribbons or cords to a teether, your child may be strangled by
them. Inspect the teethers carefully before each use, especially when the child has teeth.
Pull the teether in all directions to check for durability. Throw away the teether at the first
signs of damage or weakness. Never dip the teether in sweet substances or medication,
your child may get tooth decay. In the event that the teether becomes lodged in the mouth,
DO NOT PANIC. The teether cannot be swallowed and is designed to cope with such
an event. Remove from the mouth with care, as gently as possible. Please discard this
teether after 12 months of use.
Caution: Cool only in domestic refrigerator; do not place in freezer compartment. Never
clean the teether in the dishwasher, as this may damage the teether. Do not use abrasive
cleaning agents, antibacterial cleaning agents or chemical solvents. Excessive concentration
of cleaning agents may eventually cause the teether to crack. If this occurs, replace the
teether immediately. Do not leave the teether in direct sunlight or near a heat source.
Do not immerse the teether in water. NEVER STERILIZE OR BOIL THE TEETHER.
Before first use: Clean the teether before first use. See section 'Cleaning'.
Using the teether: Philips AVENT offers different teethers for every stage of
tooth development.
Stage one: Front teeth (SCF880/890): This teether can be used when your baby is 4 months
or older, or when you see the first signs of teething (normally the bottom 2 front teeth
coming through).
Stage two: Middle teeth (SCF882/892): This teether can be used when your baby is approx.
6 months or older, or when you see the first signs of your baby's middle teeth
coming through.
Stage three: Back teeth (SCF884/894): This teether can be used when your baby is approx.
8 months or older, or when you see the first signs of the baby's back teeth coming through.
Tip: For a cooling effect, cool the teether in the refrigerator before use.
Cleaning: Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, anti-bacterial cleaning agents or
chemical solvents. Excessive concentration of cleaning agents may eventually
cause the teether to crack. If this occurs, replace the teether immediately. Do
not immerse the teether in water. Clean the teether after each use to ensure
optimal hygiene.

Storage: Clean the teether after each use and store it in a safe and dry place to ensure
optimal hygiene.
