CHAPTER 5
TROUBLESHOTING GUIDE
KINDS OF FAILURES
At the opening command the gate doesn't
open and the motor doesn't work.
At the opening command the motor works
but the gate doesn't move.
The gate moves by fits and starts, it is
noisy, stops at half run or doesn't move.
Acting on the proper command the gate
doesn't close.
WARNING
Read carefully the guarantee conditions in 4.10 CHAPTER: GUARANTEE CONDITIONS. The observance of the general guarantee conditions and
use of DEA original accessories is essential and binding for the validity of public liability policy for products - it covers any damages to people or
things resulting from manufacture defects of our products.
In its constant attempt at improving its products, DEA SYSTEM reserves the right to modify technical characteristics without giving prior notice.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The tension is missing.
The circuit is not correctly linked.
The radio-command doesn't work.
The equipment doesn't work.
The unblocking is open.
The connection of the motor to the limit
switch is inverted and the motor pushes the
gate to the contrary direction.
The friction is loosened or it isn't correctly
tared.
The rack gravitates on the pinion or the
rack parts aren't at the rignt distance one
from the other.
There are steps on the slide or the gate
obstructs the motion.
The friction is low-tared.
The motor-reducer power isn't sufficient
compared to the gate characteristics.
The gate stops against the mechanical retai-
ner before the retainer itself stops automa-
tically causing the blocking under the load
of the gears.
There are problems with the photocells.
The connection are not correct.

REMEDY
Set the tension connection again.
Check that the equipment connections are
correct and they aren't unconnected.
Check that the radio-command battery is
charged.
Check the correspondences of the codes
between trasmittent and receiver.
Check that the receiver works.
Check the fuses.
Check the equipment logics.
Close the manual unblocking.
Set back the limit switch connection correc-
tly.
Tare the friction correctly.
Check the rack again and set it again with
the correct order.
Check slides and wheels and better the
flowability.
Tare the friction correctly; if this compro-
mises the safety, add other salety devices.
Use a more powerful motor reducer (see
paragraph 1.5).
See the plates position again.
Check the correct functioning of the limit-
switches.
Check the photocells and their connections.
Set the correct connection again.
