REMOVABLE INNER COMFORT PADDING
15
Inner Comfort Padding Disassembly
To remove the inner comfort padding, lift the VPS, open the visor completely and remove the chin guard from the helmet (see instruc-
tions above).
15.1 Open the chin strap (see specific instructions), pull the front of the left cheek pad towards the inside of the helmet to undo the
snap fasteners from the left side frame (Fig. 19). Repeat the same operation on the right side of the helmet.
15.2 Unhook the left rear flap of the liner from the shell edge by slightly puling the comfort padding towards the inside of the hel-
met (Fig. 20). Then repeat the same steps to remove the central flaps as well as the right flap.
15.3 Hold the left front part of the liner and pull it upwards in order to remove the liner flap from the support fixed to the polystyre-
ne inner shell (Fig. 21). Then repeat the same steps for the central front and right flap.
15.4 Remove left and right side flaps of the comfort padding from the cavity between the inner polystyrene cheek pads and the
outer shell (Fig. 22).
15.5 Remove the chin straps from the liner (Fig. 23 A).
15.6 Completely remove the liner from the helmet.
16
Inner Comfort Padding Assembly
16.1 Insert the liner correctly into the helmet and fit it well against the base.
16.2 Pull the left rectangular textile extension of the liner (Fig. 23 B) and insert the chin strap into the corresponding slot in the cheek
pad area of the liner (Fig. 23 A); then fold the rectangular textile extension of the liner inside the padding. Follow the same steps
on the right side of the helmet.
16.3 Insert the right and left side flaps of the liner pushing them into the cavities between the inner polystyrene cheek pads and the
outer shell (Fig. 22).
16.4 Insert the left front flap of the liner into its seat on the support fixed to the polystyrene inner shell and push it downwards until
it is completely locked. Follow the same steps for the central and right flap (Fig. 21).
NOTE: Check the correct assembly of the liner front area by lifting and lowering the VPS. These movements should be smo-
oth. If this is not the case, repeat the steps 15.3 and 16.4.
16.5 Insert the rear right, central and left flaps of the liner into the relevant support seats in the shell edge (Fig. 20). Push the flaps
until they are fully hooked onto the support.
16.6 Push the padding of the cheek pad in line with the snap fastener on its back by fastening it to the attachment seat of the frame
fixed to the shell (Fig. 19). Whilst doing this, check that the above mentioned rectangular textile extensions do not come bet-
ween the snap fastener and the corresponding fastening seats.
