this product a periodic thorough inspection is compulsory (general instructions /
paragraph 8.)
1.1 - Intended uses. The equipment is designed for the following applications:
protection against falls from a height and/or prevention from falls from a height.
Attention! If the risk assessment carried out before starting the work indicates the
use of the device on sharp edges, appropriate precautions should be taken.
2) NOTIFIED BODIES. Refer to the legend in the general instructions (paragraph
9 / table D): M6; N1.
3) NOMENCLATURE (Fig. 2). 1) Body. 2) Hole for connection. 3) Spindle. 4)

3.1 - Main materials. Refer to the legend in the general instructions (paragraph
2.4): 2 (spindle); 3 (body).
4) MARKING.
Numbers/letters without caption: refer to the legend in the general instructions
(paragraph 5).
4.1 - General (Fig. 3). Indications: 1; 4; 7; 8; 11; 12; 14; 15.
4.2 - Traceability (Fig. 3). Indications: T1; T3; T8.
5) COMPATIBILITY.
5.1 - Connectors. Depending on the field of application, for the connection only
use EN 362 connectors specific for work at height or EN 12275 connectors
specific for mountaineering activities, equipped with locking gates.
5.2 - Anchor points. Only use anchor points complying with EN 795 standards
(minimum strength 12 kN or 18 kN for non-metallic anchors), located above the
user's position.
6) CHECKS.
Further to the checks listed below, comply with what indicated in the general
instructions (paragraph 3).
Before each use, verify that: all swivelling parts spin smoothly without jamming.
7) ISTRUCTIONS FOR USE.
Swivels are rotating devices designed to connect two elements and to help pre-
vent the rope and/or other equipment from twisting.
7.1 - Warnings. 1) Swivels offers maximum strength along their major axis. 2)
While in use, it is essential that the swivel is kept under tension at all times, in order
to prevent any wrong positioning of the swivel or any other equipment that is con-
nected to it (e.g. connectors). 3) Make sure that the swivel is not placed against
edges or surfaces that might compromise its strength. 4) While using a swivel,
the user must always be positioned below the anchor point, with the system in
tension (fall factor equalling 0). When the fall factor is equal to or greater than 1,
the use of an energy absorber is mandatory: in this case, the total length of the
equipment, including terminations and connectors, must no exceed two meters. 5)
The user should keep the slack of the system to a minimum, when approaching a
position at the risk of a fall.
