ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

Warning!
- Incorrect connections could cause failures and haz-
ardous situations.
- The connections indicated in this manual must be fully
respected; if in doubt, do not try to experiment but con-
sult the relevant technical specifications which are also
available on the web site www.niceforyou.com .
Refer to the electrical layout in fig. 4 for the connections.
The tubular motor power supply cable has 4 wires:
– Brown: = Up electrical phase;
– Black: = Down electrical phase;
– Blue: = Common (normally connected
to the Neutral);
– Yellow-Green: = Ground (protective
electrical bonding).
• Associating the Up and Down movements with
the respective pushbuttons
On completion of connections, power up the motor and
check whether the Up and Down movements are associ-
ated correctly with the relative control pushbuttons. If this
is not the case, invert the connection between the Brown
and Black wires.

PROGRAMMING
5.1 - PROGRAMMING WARNINGS
Note – during the installation and adjustment operations,
the motor can be controlled by the "TTU" unit (fig. 6) until
the final electrical connections have been made.
• Signals emitted by the motor
■ the motor executes 1 very brief interruption at the
start of the manoeuvre and then resumes movement
= only 1 limit position is memorised
■ the motor executes 2 very brief interruptions at the
start of the manoeuvre and then resumes movement
= no limit position is memorised
■ keeping the control key pressed ("hold-to-run"
mode) the movement is started but is interrupted
after a short interval without completing the manoeu-
vre = the tubular motor has entered "emergency" mode
and the intervention of a specialist technician is required to
eliminate the fault
5.2 - LIMIT POSITION PROGRAMMING
Limit positions "0" and "1" (fig. 7) are the standard posi-
tions that the roller shutter/ awning takes up at the end
of the Up ("0") or Down ("1") manoeuvre.
The programming of the limit switch positions can be per-
formed in three different ways. The most suitable choice
must be made by evaluating the presence or absence of
devices on the roller shutter/awning that limit or "block"
its movement. Roller shutters for example have opening
stop "caps" that limit roller shutter maximum opening,
and/or "burglar-proof springs" that prevent roller shutters
from being lifted when fully closed.
Therefore "0" and "1" positions can be programmed dif-
ferently, depending on the presence or absence of these
mechanical stops (caps and/or springs), via one of the
following 3 procedures. CAUTION! – Perform only one
of the 3 procedures below. If the system is already
programmed with one of these procedures and a dif-
ferent procedure is to be used, the To-Max A memory
must first be cleared (see "Total memory deletion").
5.2.1 - Limit position programming in
Automatic mode
CAUTION! – This procedure is only suitable for shut-
ters with a mechanical system that blocks movement
at the Up and Down travel limits (for example on shut-
ters, the "plugs" used to stop the Up movement at the
travel limit and "anti-intrusion springs" used to block the
shutter in the closed position).
01. Press and hold the Up (or Down) key to move the
shutter to mid-travel.
02. Press and hold the Down key until the shutter stops
on impact with limit position "1" then release the key.
03. Press and hold the Up key until the shutter stops on
impact with limit position "0" then release the key.
04. At this point activate a Down manoeuvre immediate-
ly after an Up manoeuvre to enable the control unit
to memorise the two limit switch positions. CAU-
TION! - Do not interrupt these two manoeuvres
and do not disconnect the power supply from
the automation during movement.
This procedure also automatically activates the function
"Dynamic Auto-update of limit positions". During daily
use of the automation, this function periodically and auto-
matically updates the parameters of the two limit switch
positions previously memorised.
The aim of this function is to compensate over time for
expansion or shrinkage of the structure due to wear and
temperature variations, thus enabling the Up and Down
movements to be completed with constant precision at
the respective limit positions.
5.2.2 - Limit position programming in
Manual mode
